Who we support

SKiLD is for people who give hands-on support to local third sector groups in England.

SKiLD uses the term development workers as a general title but realises there are many different people doing many different jobs. Work might be offering general development support to groups, or specialist help such as funding advice or training. You might be called anything from a small groups advisor or funding advice worker to a training officer or legal consultant.

People who give hands-on support to groups are usually based in some kind of infrastructure organisation. This might be a local CVS or rural community council; a specialist support organisation or a national agency.
