Codes of Practice in the North East: Equalities and Diversity & Volunteering

The consultation period on two draft Compact Codes of Practice is now underway.

You have the opportunity to make comment on these Codes to ensure that they are ‘fit for purpose' and best suited to the needs of the North East.
 
• Equalities and Diversity -The purpose of this Code is to set out a shared vision and to influence behaviour in both the VCS and regional Public Sector organisations to maximise the benefits a diverse society brings to the region.

• Volunteering - The purpose of this Code is to provide the basis for a constructive dialogue to achieve a shared vision for volunteering and improve volunteering practice across the North East.
