SKiLD secures funding to continue programmeSKiLD – the programme that helps equip third sector development workers with essential skills and knowledge – will continue to play a role in joining-up the delivery of learning opportunities developed through Capacitybuilders’ national investment. Managed by the National Association for Voluntary and Community Action (NAVCA), SKiLD’s main funding up until now has been through the national UK Workforce Hub, with additional financing from three other national hubs – all under Capacitybuilders’ ChangeUp initiative. Capacitybuilders has now confirmed that SKiLD has secured funding worth £550,000 over the next three years. It means it can continue to support development workers with relevant learning activities and resources. The SKiLD team is currently working on its planning for the next three years and hopes to launch a new programme of learning activities by early summer. SKiLD will work closely with the nine NSS workstreams and will carry details of its schedule in due course on its website at www.skild.org.uk. |
