Get involved
Our programme is open to individuals from all organisations that provide support to frontline third sector organisations. As the income generation team develops individual training programmes, events and resources, we will promote them through Skills and Knowledge for Local Development (SKiLD), the Improving support website and e-bulletins and through our partners’ networks.
If you would like more information about any of our activities please contact a member of our team at income@acevo.org.uk
There are a number of ways we would like you to get involved in our projects:
- Supporting partnerships for public service delivery – Are you involved in supporting or participating in partnerships or consortia of frontline groups bidding for or delivering public services? We plan a research and consultancy project to support and learn from innovative partnerships and are looking to recruit a number of support providers to participate in the research.
- Supporting development workers advising on commissioning and procurement – We will be launching a training course in winter 2008 aimed at development workers and key staff within support providers who are involved in assisting frontline groups engaging in bidding for and delivering public services. If you would like to help design this training or if you would like to nominate staff to take part in the pilot or full training please get in touch.
- Supporting best practice in commissioning – The national support service has the reach to disseminate examples of best practice in procurement processes and support widely across the support sector. If you know of innovative practice in how commissioners have shaped processes, how local organisations have succeeded in them and how infrastructure has supported them we want to hear from you.
- Supporting the costs of capacity – Acevo has recently launched its new Full Cost Recovery business planner, training for which is being rolled out across the support sector. But what is an appropriate level of capacity for service delivery and how should that be costed? We are planning an innovative benchmarking project to research practice in this area. If you are interested in hosting one of these pilots please get in touch.
If you are interested in taking part in any of these projects please contact the Income Generation team at acevo.
