Activities

One of our most important initial activities is to consult with our main stakeholders who include regional, sub-regional and local consortia. This will ensure that we build on the work that has already been done and avoid duplication of effort and resources wherever possible.

We will develop a number of initiatives and resources: a leadership development programme, advice materials on legal structures, board review and recruitment materials, which we will then pilot with a number of organisations and enterprises.

We will also undertake policy review work around proportionate/lighter touch governance, work with organisations and support providers to maximise the number of board members from other sectors joining third sector organisations, and liaise with private sector companies to maximise their support for the sector.
