Activities

We are planning the following initial activities:

  • a range of conferences across England covering marketing and communications topics, with tailored content for support providers
  • training events across England to develop support providers’ skills in marketing and communications including in customer relationship management, marketing strategies, branding and PR
  • setting up an enhanced interactive online marketing and communications platform with ‘modules’ for support providers to pod/vodcast, blog, ask experts, and download guides and articles
  • to utilise ‘Media Matching’ services to match marketing and communications professionals with support providers
  • to use ‘Community Newswire’ to coach support providers in writing their own media relations documents, including press releases
  • to recruit and develop nine marketing champions
  • to engage with service users and other key stakeholders to advise and develop insight in order to guide future activities
  • to undertake a benchmarking survey of marketing and communications skills to identify skills gaps and gauge the quality of services being delivered. Survey findings will guide future workstream activities.
