Project outcomes

The collaboration workstream plans four key project outcomes:

  1. a raised awareness and understanding of the value and benefits of collaborative working involving community and voluntary sector organisations.
  2. a useful and accessible resource concerning good practice in collaboration for community and voluntary sector organisations.
  3. increased skills for the sector’s development workers in facilitating collaborative working.
  4. achieving 60 successful collaborations, for example in:
    • developing joint back office functions
    • developing and delivering joint services
    • those working within communities of place
    • developing bulk purchasing between organisations
    • forming consortia wishing to jointly tender for commissioned service delivery
    • local infrastructure partnerships wishing to work collaboratively to meet local frontline needs
    • regional infrastructure partnerships wishing to work more strategically to meet local infrastructure organisational needs
    • developing cross-sector partnerships to support the development and delivery of Local Area Agreements
    • working in Local Strategic Partnerships
    • working with commissioning officers in design and implementation of services
    • developing joint voice and advocacy functions
    • tackling environmental issues together.
