  • an extensive bank of accessible and relevant information about external trends and forces (drivers)
  • downloadable PDFs for your planning away-days
  • resources for saving and making notes on the trends and forces (drivers) that are important to your organisation
  • an online community for idea sharing and peer support
  • practical tools for strategic planning
  • information on upcoming events and training.

Future Focus

While stocks allow, we offer infrastructure and umbrella organisations free bulk copies of our Future Focus pocket guides to send out to frontline organisations. We will even cover mailing costs.

Glossary

Are we using jargon? Email us with any terms that you think are obscure and we’ll eliminate them or add them here!

  • Social change – changes outside an organisation, including in the political, social, economic and technological spheres. Social change can be described in terms of individual and related ‘drivers’.
  • Driver – a major trend or force outside an organisation that may have a positive or negative impact on its future.
  • Strategic analysis - Strategic analysis is a process, including: being clear about overall direction; understanding drivers; considering their implications; drawing on past experience and current reality; setting out the options for the future; making strategic decisions; and putting these into a plan.
